The Rockers are whitewater vests. They are cut for good mobility and not interfering with spray skirts. Snug 'em up so they don't ride up in the water and use them.

Your sailing helmet is a hard shell, has good coverage, and stays in place after a good tumble in the water? If the foam lining is a multi-hit elastomer, as opposed to single-hit crushable ("beer cooler", it should work well. A boom in an uncontrolled gybe would be an extremely severe hit well beyond anything you would expect to encounter in Class II. A far more likely whitewater scenario is multiple, lighter hits, as your head bangs down a rapid after a flip.

Many other-sport helmets tend to break apart after one hit, don't stay in place after a flip (either down over your eyes or off the back of your head), or are "bump hats" without any significant padding. Some early whitewater helmets had similar issues.
