Mikel, it looks like I will base-camp at McKinney Falls SP, inside Austin. Here's my itinerary

It's counter to my custom (usually I just wing it and wind up camping in odd-ball places) but I reserved a campsite for three nights at McKinney Falls SP.

I'll day-trip from there to Pedernales Falls SP, Enchanted Rock SP, and Jacob's Well Natural Area, and have a very short drive back to camp after the Austin City Limits concert. Then I'll drive to Guadalupe River SP and secure a campsite before spending an afternoon at the Alamo and an evening at Riverwalk Jazz. Head to Big Bend from there.

Below is my likely itinerary (I had to shave it down some when I started charting an actual day-by-day plan; just too many things to see and do! Mostly I cut out stops in New Mexico and Arizona, since I go to Tucson every Christmas and thus am likely to be near those places again soon.

For some reason on this map you must click the "zoom" box at the top right to see my actual route: https://phssurvey.wfubmc.edu/sshp/RLH/log/tripreport.asp?tr=96
