Not sure how easy it is to see at current levels, but it was pretty obvious when the river was around 3.0. Its about 1/3 way down the slide on River Left, right up against the bank. What it does is break up the flow of the slide, which makes the wave/hole at the base not as well formed, and thus the clean eddies on both sides no longer exist. So the flow, instead of turning left into that eddy, now goes straight into the spine rock (making it underwater a whole half foot earlier than it normally would be) and turns what used to be 20% of the flow over b**** Monkey into more like 50%. The 3rd slide isn't neccessarily harder to run, but, if you get pushed right, the consequences are now much higher.

It also means that while you could run the 4th slide with only minor boat abuse around 3.0; now it takes more like 3.4 or 3.5 to not be grating plastic off. Its really destroyed the flow for the 4th slide, hopefully some high flow will knock that log out
