The river went from about 8.1 to 8.3 while I was out there and the waves were spectacular. Also a little intimidating, but I'm a total chickenhawk; a swimmer at this level would be lucky to get out before Cabin John Bridge.
I was in my 4-meter boat and there were 8-10 surfable waves in the train. They should be good to go in a shorter boat. There were lots of people out today in play boats, so they can give better reports.
