Assuming you mean "all-purpose" tandems (hence 15'8" to 17.5" length, rather than modern tandem playboats (like the MR Caption @ 14 ft/Caper @ 14.5 ft, Mohawk 14' Probe etc...) some good choices would include:

w/ moderate rocker 3-5": Blue Hole or Evergreen Starburst, Dagger Dimension

w/ rocker 2-3" or so: MR Explorer (16 ft), MR Freedom (16 '), MR Revelation 17'; MR/Dagger Legend 16'; OT Appalachian (16'), OT Tripper (17.2'); Mohawk Intrepid (16'); Blue Hole/Evergreen OCA or Prowler (15'8"; Any manufacturer's 16-17' "Chestnut" Prospectors or similar; several of the Esquif canoe line; Bell Alaskan 16'; etc...

Any and all of these will also work solo, w/ proper adjustment of trim. Not all of the models mentioned are in current production, but may be available on the used market.

I would recommend nothing with less than 14" sidewalls and to use plenty of flotation.

Hendrik
