Car Cam?

I wonder if anyone has tried to use a car-battery-powered cam to prevent the car breakins. I have seen one such cam on Ebay: Vehicle Car Alarm Anti-Theft Pinhole Hidden HD Camera Vibration Sensor USB SMS... If it works, maybe all of us who ever park along the C&O Canal, should just install it?
