Yeah. whatever works for you; Trick with hip pads

I personally like the fat end of the hip pad above and slightly to the rear of my hip bone and not sitting directly between me and the seat pillar. The fat part of the pad has not chance to cause pinching/nerve problems and is pretty captive with out a lot of direct pressure to bone parts of my body.

The outfitting is better than I expected. Robust, simple and easy to adjust the moving parts, but it's totally lacks in the range of fit area for just the reason you point out; it's for the big boys.
