I lived above it in the Mid 70's. In the winter you could see the gorge from my back porch. I lived in Windsor Hills, on Talbot Road. It was way way more polluted then...to the tune or Raw Sewage. I believe that construct with the manhole cover you ran past was where it used to overflow....your VIDEO 2:50. I was just getting into paddling back then, so we did go down and walk it. Dickeysville more or less down to the Windsor Mill Road Bridge.

(There was no trail then.)

We thought, great, bu cholera, dysentery naaaah I'll pass.

In fact a couple of other runs were sewage runs back then. Georges Creek, and the Top Yough. That was before they state put in sewage treatment plants along RT 36 and in Oakland.

We've actually come a long way --- water quality-wise.
