Yes, it is higher than Royalex, tho' Royalex prices were creeping upwards, and some makers had some Royalex boats close to $2,000; had PolyOne kept Royalex alive, they likely would have raised prices again (which they did immediately upon buying Spartech) to offset the high incidence of reject sheets and, perhaps, towards a goal of replacing the now very old sheet-laminating equipment.

It is my impression that Tuffstuff is geared towards a market for folks who are almost (but not quite) willing to pay for Kevlar and similar, whereas T-Formex was to be the true replacement for the Royalex niche.

I will be curious to see the pricing on T-Formex when/if the boats eventually come onto the market.
