our group wuz staring at the shiny gauge on the birch river @ herold and concluded how useful it was. it was 6.5' when we were there and the birch basin was pretty much in medium paddling water levels. the litle birch river was right at paddling zero and the holly tribs should key off this gauge too. better than webster springs.
