--Sandy Hook trespass option or walk the 340 bridge from wayside to SH (group could wait with boats while shuttle driver walks to SH).
No tickets and good beer : )

--Weaverton take out (or further downstream access)
From a local post on FB -- there is no legal parking at weaverton. You park on the shoulder of the turnaround correct? Well LEGALLY your vehicle has to be 10' off of the pavement, that is 10' from the white line along the curb/road lane. Sorry, but that does not exist at weaverton! It is a legal csx crossing for csx vehicles and hikers and there is no parking! Only LEGAL public parking downstream of 340 bridge is the Brunswick boat ramp! There are only 3 legit parking spots at Potomac wayside, that "wayside is overrun with commercial outfitters which pay the park service $1 per head to use our public access. So forget wayside( or we could pay a user fee) it is bought out by tubers! And on that note...

--Po Wayside (NPS site with 3 parking spaces) - You will be ticketed and maybe towed at Wayside if you park anywhere but the 3 marked spaces.

--Widespot (driving on Rt 340 from MD past the gas station the "wide spot" on the right just beyond VA/WV border, in WV w/ ~5 legal spaces) - worst place of all, extremely dangerous, the parking is directly in line with the momentum of the big trucks rounding the bend, look at the damaged guardrail from the trucks that lost it, we all remember the logging truck that dumped is load at Crispys. Cars are ticketed and towed on a regular based, people get arrested by real police all summer and huge rocks tumble into the road. Not to mention no beer store and no SUN.

--HF Outdoors Center (formerly Butts Tubes) maybe buy a yearly pass?
This is a good option all rivers wouyld be better served if all asscess was controlled by commercial interest and legal free access to our water ways was eliminated

--NPS MD heights parking (parking upriver from Sandy Hook past RR bridge and access by walking canal or attaining) -
This is a great option if not full but you will have to navigate the "crummy twisting road"

You forgot B2B parking lot - NPS charges a parking fee unless you have a sign on your dash saying River Access. I got a ticket there once for $10 but never got a ticket at SH.

Therefore, Sandy Hook is the only option where you do not risk a ticket or have to pay a fee.
