Ice in Sideling Hill Creek - Sunday Trip Cancelled

Message:

Bob Raab and I scouted the creek today. The water at the put-in was swift, muddy, and carrying some large sheets of ice. Same at the Nature Conservancy access 5 miles down river. Driving to the Bellegrove access at mile 8.5, we saw several places where ice cover was creek-wide. Conclusion: somewhere there will be a large ice jam. Decision: cancel and reschedule.
