I certainly agree with Merrill. But where are the springs? There are some big springs On the West Branch Antietam above Waynesboro. There are huge springs on Beaver Creek east of Hagerstown.It seems to me that those upstream springs would not be enough to keep lower Antietam from freezing.
Maybe I'm missing a hot spring somewhere that I should be winter swimming in?
