My recollections are sketchy but a few of us did a run in the mid 80s (not a club trip). My biggest memory is of the sewer manholes pumping out raw sewage directly into the creek. The manholes were making loud noises as the sewage forced them up and down. This run was within hours of a 2-3 inch rain and I believe the sewer system was combined at that time. Combined meaning that the stormwater goes into the same pipes as the sewage.
